New Year

Happy New Year! 2008 was a good year. I felt we were "cruising" for most of the year. Here's what we remember as our "best" times in 2008:
Rich: Going to Seattle and coming home from his Seattle trip
Lori: Our San Diego trip in June and going to photography "school" for a day
Anna: Going to Wild Rivers at the beginning of summer break
Ryan: That "one time" when he went to Lolo and Lola's house and going to Lego Camp over the summer

How did we do on our goals we set for 2008? A recap:
Rich: eating more fruits and veggies: off and on, overall improvement
Lori: changing assignment/work schedule: check-new school assignments and able to take time off needed for Sara's therapy. Becoming more competent in photography-check, but still so much more to learn. Having a small business-no way, after doing some "experimental" photography shoots, it's sooo much work, no time for that now, also, it wasn't as much fun as I thought it would be-it was really hard!! Anna: Fix up her room with a border, canopy, white furniture-check...sort of. We got it fixed up all nice and pink with a canopy, no border and we decided not to paint the furniture.
Ryan: Earn his Tiger Badge in boy scouts-check
Sara: Gain strength in her arms-check!

Bible Verse that seemed to "guide" us in 2008: But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33

Goals for 2009:
Rich: Still thinking
Lori: Pray daily for our family
Anna: Turn her room into a "horse" room
Ryan: Get better at building Legos and attend "Lego Camp" again
Sara: Tantrum less, gain more arm/hand strength

Lord, Watch over us this year. Lead us down the path You set before us. May we grow closer to You and become more like You. This year, help us to give more, love more, judge less, be content with what we have been given, and view each day and as a gift from You.
