The kids have been playing outside constantly since our first annual July 4 block party. It was that day that all the neighborhood kids (and parents) were out at the same time and got to know each other better. Since then, someone is always knocking on each others' doors to come play. The adults have gotten to know each other better too. We've always been a neighborhood who waves at each other on passing, but now, the adults are spending more time outside hanging out with each other. It's so nice.
Today, Ryan came in totally ecstatic and could hardly contain himself when he told me that his friend put up a ramp at the end of the street (we live a cul de sac). He had SO much fun, as you can see!
Overall, this has been a memorable summer so far, and we haven't been on our RV trip to the northwest yet! The temps have been very mild, we even need a jacket in the morning and at night! We will be finishing "church camp" tomorrow, which has been a great time, along with swimming at the community pool and a couple of beach trips. The best part is, the summer is just getting started!!
