Over the years, we have enjoyed watching the children learn new things. During that critical language development stage, Anna and Ryan sort of developed their own language. Her are some of there words:

Anna:
this morning= "tuesmorning" or "smorning," as in "Mom, can we have pancakes for breakfast tuesmoring?"

what if...= when if... as in "Mom, when if the fish die when we're on vacation?"

hurry= hairy, as in "Hairy Ryan, Dad's chasing you!"

extinct= a stink, as in "Mom, why are dinosaurs a stink?"

opposome= an awesome, as in "Ryan, hairy, look! There's an awesome in the backyard!"

sunbathing= sundating, as in "Mom, look at Ryan, he's sundating!"

attention=intention, as in "Ryan, your just doing that to get mom's intention!"

and last but not least, her signature phrase: "Last one in is a rubber egg!"

Ryan also has his own words such as:

humongous= hulongest, as in "That spider is hulongest!"

bull dozer=bull donzer, as in "Dad, did you see that hulongest bull donzer?"

buger=moegur (does there really need to be an explanation?)

suitcase=soupcase, as in, "Mom, I need to put this in my soupcase."

my favorite: daddy long-leg=dandy long-leg, as in "Aahhh! Dad, a spider! It's a dandy long-leg!"

Ryan also likes to make up his own vocabulary, which I think should be added to the dictionary.
"jonah" (no, not "and the whale," more like, "Dad, my jonah hurts" -as he points to his side)
and "lipsbee." While we never got a clear meaning for this word, this one was one of his favorites. Another great one (though I can't exactly remember who made it up-it may have been Anna) is Plaba. As in "...catch a plaba by his toe...". Recently, he made up "slogeen" (pronounced 'slowgeen'). This is a cup of VERY cold water-the twist is you drink it with a straw and pretend it's a slurpee!
