Today we went to the dentist. We finally found a good dentist that we like. As I was getting my x-rays done, I heard and Anna and the dentist, a nice Filipino lady, having a conversation:
Dentist: "I can tell by your last name that you are Filipino. Are you a Filipina?"
Anna (after thinking for a moment): "Well, my dad is from the Philippines and my mom is from Texas, so I'm half Filipino and half Texan."
After a little giggle under her breath, the dentist gave her a little lesson that she was "half Filipino and half American!"Needless to say, I was cracking up next door-wouldn't the Texan's be proud!
