Parenting has been a difficult task as of late: Should let them? Should I not? Am I too grouchy? Am I too passive? How much should I indulge them in the culture? How much should I protect them from the culture? Oh, I shouldn't have said that. Oh, I should have said this. I'm a horrible mother. I need to be a better mother... I'm losing sleep thinking about these things.
I've noticed that parenting is much more difficult without a "support group" of sorts...boy I miss MOPS! It's easier to find a balance of things when thoughts and feelings are shared with other parents who share similar values-something I've not done much of since last spring. Thanks blog, I knew you'd help me out...next step: get re-connected!
