School is finally out! Our first activity of the summer is to spend a week with my mom. We missed her so much and were so exited to spend lots of time with her. We started by driving to Vegas, where she was visiting my sister. We stayed in Rich's parents vacation home there for a few days. The kids love to go to the "Vegas house" to play with toys that are forever novel, take a bath in the "pool" tub, and eat at our favorite places. Since we used to live in Vegas, it's nice to know our way around the city and surrounding area.
The first place we visited was Mt. Charleston. We spent the day hiking trails, having a picnic, and resting in the shade, listening to the breeze blow in the trees. For dinner, we to the lodge restaraunt and had ice cream for dinner! What a wonderful day!
The next day, we hung out all day at the pool where my sister works. Our good friends were able to meet us there so we were able to hang out with them too.
The following morning, we were on our way home, but not before a stop by my sister Tammy's house. She lovingly made us breakfast for the drive back home.
Once we were back in L.A., my mom spent two days shopping with Anna and Ryan individually and decorating their rooms. It was a huge blessing and a time a know they will never forget. We spent the last day with my mom at Manhattan Beach. The weather was perfect. The visit was perfect, and we made memories to last a lifetime...or at least until the next visit! We love so much Grammie, thank you for coming and spending time with us!
