Summer vacation! This is our first little traveling trip of the summer. We decided to north, instead of south this time. I’m SO excited, so are the kids! We’re planning to stop at San Luis Obispo for the night, then continue up Highway 1 and stay two nights at Big Sur and be home on Sunday evening. I’ve wanted to visit both of these places since I moved to CA. We left this morning before the sun came up and arrived at our RV spot by noon (about 1/4 mile from Pismo Beach). It was a very lovely drive up "El Camino Real", mostly along the ocean, but also through a small mountain range, vineyards, and farm land.
