OT Conference

Sara's OT asked if we would be willing to be participants in the California Association of Occupational Therapists Conference.  I love Sara's OT and Sara said she would do it, so we did it!  Sara has been seeing the same OT since she was 6 months old.  We love "Miss 'Lissa," she is a treasure to Sara and our family. 

The goal at the conference was a teaching session for the OT's to develop a writing splint for Sara to use, then at the end, Sara's OT showed the splint that she made for Sara.  It was a pretty exhausting day for Sara-she was the center of attention for several hours, surrounded by OT's.  She handled the day with grace and strength.  I was so proud of her!  Of course, the best part for her was eating cookies and receiving several gifts at the end!  As we left exhausted, Sara asked, "Mom, when can we do that again?"
