THE tooth

Finally...After weeks of anticipation, anxiety, excitement, and fear-Anna's first tooth finally came out. Knowing Anna's personality, we knew it wasn't going to be a little thing, but rather a big procession-which it was. Anna was beside herself in tension and anxiety for almost an hour as her tooth clung on by a thread. After about half an hour, she finally let dad get close enough to apply ice, and after another 20 minutes or so, she let him "wiggle" it (before he pulled it out). Wow! Talk about tension release after the ordeal was over. Anna was ecstatic for a very long time-weeks of tension and anxiety all released in a moment. It was a great moment. She ran over to me right away and gave me a huge hug. I was so proud of Rich, as if he delivered a child or something. Yes, whoever helps put Anna's world back in order is the hero of the day. Congratulations Anna!!!
