Boulder City

We went to Boulder City for what turned out to be "spring break" for us, even though neither myself or the kiddos were actually on spring break. We all took a day or two off to get out of town for the annual r/c race in Boulder City. It turned out to be a very nice get-away. At a time when I was stressed out due to Ryan's recent bout with the flu and Sara's therapy seeming never ending, it was so nice to step away from "normal" life, if even for a few days. It made a remarkable change in my stress level. We mostly hung out, visited with a few friends, visited a nearby Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, and took a long walk/bike ride to a park that had bike ramps-that was Ryan's life (or "Mom, that was my life" as Ryan would say)! Probably my favorite thing was visiting Hoover Dam (which, by the way, was named after President Hoover, the 34th president of the United States). There were some great photo-ops on the trip-too bad I didn't bring my camera. Thank goodness Anna did!
