RV

Our RV got broken in to over the weekend. Whoever did it (I assume it was a few high-school kids) broke the window over the sofa and used a ladder to crawl in. They stole the GPS, video game station and games, about 25 DVDs and some food. They did not steal the flat screen TV that was in the closet (though they got it out and laid it on the table), or the flat screen that was attached to the RV. Nor was it vandalized. We told Anna and Ryan and they seem to be processing it in their own ways. Anna is very verbal about it and constantly wants to talk about it, expressing her hurt and anger that someone would do such a wrong thing. Ryan didn't say much about it, but just seems to be taking it all in.

The robbery has provided a good opportunity to teach them some lessons. They have been reminded that our "true treasure" lies in heaven, where there are no robbers, that we need to pray for our enemies, and also forgive our enemies.

Lord, we forgive the robbers and pray that they will seek you and turn from their ways. Our treasure is in You. Thank you that undue damage was not done to the RV. Thank you for giving us a treasure that will never be robbed or destroyed.
