Downtown Seattle

We spent the whole day in downtown Seattle today. First, we walked through Pike Place Market-very cool. Filled with tons of fresh flowers, fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts, fish, art, "unnecessaries," and singing/guitar-playing people hoping for spare change. Rich doesn't do well with crowds, so it was a pretty quick trip through the market, though we didn't make it out without a bag full of mini-doughnuts. After the Market, we walked to the Seattle Aquarium. We loved it there. The layout was fantastic and we were able see many cool things, including a scuba diver feeding the fish in a huge aquarium and verbally interacting with the docent outside of the tank. After a fairly quick sweep through the aquarium, we walked a couple more blocks down the the Argosy Harbor Cruise (after a quick stop at Starbucks, of course). We enjoyed a fun cruise around the harbor and learned the history of Seattle. Then, we walked another block and ended up eating dinner at Red Robin, which was on the pier. After that, we walked back to the car and made a quick drive to REI to make a few purchases. Anna and I decided that we needed (yet) another jacket now that the weather has turned quite cool! Today was our last full day in Seattle, so we had to get all of our fun in! Tomorrow, the plan is to go the the flight museum just south of Seattle, then head down to Portland.
